Australian Facilities Landscapes (AFL) is a commercial landscapes organisation delivering grounds maintenance services, land management, bush regeneration and conservation, bush fire risk mitigation and management, arboriculture, sports fields maintenance and landscape construction. AFL fulfil client requirements for multi residential strata projects, commercial outdoor maintenance to wide area open space government infrastructure services, AFL delivers professional, prompt and innovative solutions for all landscape maintenance requirements. AFL also provides civil infrastructure works including fire trail and track maintenance and reconstruction as well as erosion control activities. AFL operates an environment team who undertake activities including weed management, replainting activities and erosion and sediment control.

This position was responsible for the managerial oversight of AFL operations including:

​

• Wide area mowing activities

• High Profile grounds maintenance activities including grounds maintenance for VIP and Senior Defence residential housing located in Canberra.

• Airfield vegetation and sweeping management across three primary military airfield within NSW as well as bush strips and landing sites.

• Bushfire mitigation activities for the Australian Defence estate in northern New South Wales including all based located within the Sydney metro area, and all bases and establishments from Sydney to the NSW - Queensland border.    

• ​Environmental activities for the Defence department including large scale weed management activities in singleton NSW. 

• Civil infrastructure maintenance for the Defence department including the maintenance of over 300 fire trails and tracks across the NSW defence estate. 

• AFL also provided land management activities for large commercial and government clients including, BGIS, Cushman & Wakefield, Reserve Bank of Australia, Transport for NSW, Dexus, NSW ports, and Ventia.
