TenixToll was a joint venture by the then largest Australian-owned defence contractor Tenix Defence Pty Ltd and Australia's leading provider of integrated logistics and transportation services, Toll Holdings Limited.
TenixToll provided warehousing, equipment maintenance and distribution services nationally exclusively for the Australian Defence Force. This included the storage and distribution of security sensitive material including weaponry and encrypted communication devices.
This contract was the first time that the Australian Deference department had privatised its logistics network within within mainland Australia.
In 2008 TenixToll was aquired by BAE systems who in 2013 lost this contract to Linfox.
Position: State Warehousing and Distribution Manager (NSW & ACT).
July 2004 - July 2006
The scope of my NSW operation spanned 4 Australian Defence force locations, with 49 standalone warehouse operations included the largest single warehousing site in the southern hemisphere at the time, a 137 ha site located in Moorebank NSW. The Iocations I managed included:

Defence National Storage & Distribution Center, Moorebank.

RAAF base Richmond.

RAAF base Williamtown.

HMAS Albatross, Nowra.
In this position I was responsible for the implementation of the NSW component of this new contact and this included the full recruitment of over 280 warehouse and managerial staff and the full delivery of the daily warehouse and distribution operations. As this was the first time that the Australian Defence department had privatised this function my role was to also see the seamless transition of services which was achieved with no impacts to any end customer as part of this privatisation exercise.
Also while in my role with TenixToll I acted as national Warehouse and Distribution manager on a number of occasions which saw me take responsibility for the national operations of TenixToll which covered the logistics operations in all states in Australia. This position also included the national management role as liaison with the Defence command network across Australia.
